Confirmation Emails

Hey guys,

Alex here with a quick update on the site. As those of you also reading the blog at myspace already know, we've been having some problems with the confirmation emails. What can we say? We're a one-of-a-kind, flash-based, social networking site; there's bound to be some "teething problems". But don't worry, we're working on the problem right now and it should be fixed by 9am tomorrow. For those of you that have already registered, we will get the proper confirmation email to you ASAP.

Thanks for the support and suggestions,
Alex

Liftoff!

Better a little late than never, the College Poker Association website is finally online! Go ahead and check it out... You should all know the website by now, but just in case, it's:

www.collegepokerassociation.com

But first... a couple of things:

This is just the beginning. Right now the features are very limited, but we'll be adding new stuff to the website and fixing problems almost daily. We are basically in the beta-testing phase of the site right now so if you find a problem that needs to be fixed please email us at support@collegepokerassociation.com and we will get it taken care of as soon as possible.

Right now you can register and create a personal profile. Once you've registered on the site, you cab search for other member profiles and leave messages on their posting walls. Additionally, you'll automatically be eligible for our Summer Freeroll Tournament. More details on that will be posted by next Monday...

So, hopefully by now you've already checked out the site and that means you know that it looks totally sweet. You all will be part of the development of this website and so, in addition to reporting any problems, we'd also like you to send any features you'd like to see added to support@collegepokerassociation.com. Here's a taste of some of the features you'll soon see on College Poker Association:

*Private Messaging - Will allow members to send private messages to other members.

*Team Pages - Each team/school will get their own profile and discussion boards.

*Friend Links - You will be able to link your profile to other members' profiles.

*Photo Gallery - We will improve the photo upload and allow you to upload more than one photo.

And, of course, league results, schedules, rankings, and much, much, more...

Thanks,
College Poker Association

P.S. Untold thanks are also due to our amazing PR guru, Jessi Morris, who has provided us with unquantifiable help and support throughout our launch. Please give her cleverly-titled blog a little "link love" as she calls it at:

Almost ready...

Apologies to everyone who was expecting the launch of the website yesterday. This is a one-of-a-kind website and you'll understand the delays in the launch when it finally goes up later today. Believe us, it's well worth the wait.

I also want to let you all know that the site is entirely Flash-based and you'll need the latest Flash player to view the website. If you can't load the Triworks page listed in the Links section on the left, then you won't be able to load our page either. But you don't have to wait until our site goes up to fix that problem (you've already had to wait an extra day, why make yourself wait even longer?). You can find it here, at the Adobe site:

Get Flash

Thanks for all the support... the wait is almost over,
College Poker Association

Changes and News

Hey Guys,

Alex here again. Just making a change to the blog so it matches the look of our website a little better. "Website?" you say. That's right. Our one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art, top-of-the-line, you-get-the-idea site is set to launch on Tuesday. Only 3 days away! And when we say one-of-a-kind, we mean one-of-a-kind. Our design team has been working day and night to get this thing up and running and it looks hot! Don't believe us? Check out their own site at www.triworks.net for just a taste of what they're capable of doing.

And don't miss the issue of ALL IN Magazine that hits newsstands on Tuesday. Look towards the back for more info on the summer freeroll tournament Chris mentioned in his last two posts. Everyone that signs up gets a free one-year subscription. Can't beat that!

Ok, lots of work to do before Tuesday. See you later,
Alex

Free Stuff

Hey guys, this is Chris again, most of you know that All In Magazine is sponsoring our first summer freeroll tournament, butt most of you don't know that they've also offered all new College Poker Association registrants a free 1-year subscription. This isn't like 1 free magazine that automatically starts chargning after the first issue, this is 1 full free year and you won't even have to submit your credit card information. You just click the little check box on the registration page and you'll be reading the hottest new poker magazine for free for 1 year. Hope that sounds good. Check out their website at www.allinmag.com to get a feel for the magazine. You can register on our site starting June 27th.
Thanks,
College Poker Association

How about a freeroll?

How's it going guys? That last guy was Alex. You're hearing from Chris now and I just wanted to tell you all about the summer freeroll tournament we're having to kick things off. Two weeks ago All In Magazine was like "hey, do you guys want a sponsor?" And we said "Sure"; so now they're sponsoring our $7,500 freeroll on July 22nd. You can sign up on our website starting June 20th. So that's pretty sweet. See you then.
Chris
